No Repair PS3 – Replacement super slim console option offered, refused for return of partially repaired unit

We have inspected your PS3 system. We have corrected the update error and the machine boots as normal. The unit however does not have working Ethernet and/or Wi-Fi electronics due to the original damage which cannot be repaired. There are problems with major components on the motherboard which cannot be repaired. The motherboard needs to be replaced along with the DVD drive. The way that Sony designed the system, they need to be replaced as a set since the DVD drive is ‘keyed’ to the motherboard. The replacement set would need to come from a working system, and to avoid the additional labor required to replace all parts we would just sell you the replacement unit with the damaged trade in. The online networking portion of the machine is damaged and cannot be repaired. As an alternative we can simply return back your unit to you with the error corrected however the networking portion of the machine is beyond repair options and not working and the inspection and estimate and partial repair fee is $39.99 with return shipping. We can also as a final option, scrap the unit and close the order at no charge.
