We have received your order. The system shows issues during shipping of the high tech console to our facility and further damage as a result of a rough shipment. The unit arrived loose in a large box. To understand more about the new failure, we have completed diagnostics and reviewed the repair of your PS3 unit. During our process we have located larger problems with major components on the motherboard which are causing additional failures with the system. The damage is physical in nature, not covered by warranty however the additional damage is beyond all repair options. The system is not repairable. The motherboard needs to be replaced along with the blu ray drive. The way that Sony designed the system, they need to be replaced as a set since the DVD drive is ‘keyed’ to the motherboard. The console is currently not repairable for less than total replacement options. Due to the shipping issues beyond our control, we are unable to provide additional repair options. We can scrap the machine and close the order, or return the damaged unit at a minimum $10 charge, or we can also offer a replacement PS3 system with the scrap trade in. A slim or super slim console replacement console with our 90 day warranty can be discounted and also offered with free shipping. These are options available from our manager and we can complete the order immediately upon your written agreement.
